The Course Outline files (below) are the standard document that the IB requires teachers to complete and submit to the DP Coordinator for Authorisation and Re-Authorisation documentation. The files can be downloaded and edited to suit teachers’ local situations such as the year plan and lesson times.
There is no one right way / order in which to teach the course’s elements. Course Outline 1 describes a course taught in the order: Concepts, Content and then Contexts. Course Outline 2 shows the course taught as 4 Contexts (with the Concepts and Contexts being taught within the Contexts). Both documents can be downloaded and edited.
