Living Psychology presents four fictional but realistic stories that bring psychological theory to life, enabling students to develop psychology literacy by exploring concepts like neuroplasticity, acculturation, motivation, social identity… not as abstract textbook definitions but as experiences within complex, emotional human stories where characters navigate trauma, displacement, cultural adaptation, development and the universal challenges of understanding ourselves and others.
The book is fully supported by

How to use Living Psychology? I’ve given my students a paper copy of the book (some prefer the eBook version to read their phone/tablet), and they read a chapter at home and then complete the chapter-specific questions and activities from the website. And in between Class Practicals and discussions about the HL topics and the IA, we discuss the topics of the book in class. How does the Psychology discussed in Living Psychology relate to you and your own life and behaviour? What did you think PTSD is? Has your understanding of hormones and neurotransmitters changed?
